Find pen pals!

Letternet enables you to make contact with interesting pen pals who like writing and are looking to find a pen pal.

Letternet is the world's largest, free-of-charge pen pal club! We have members in more than 140 different countries. If you want, you can write to our members in languages other than English, such as French or Italian, for example.

How you can participate

We're glad that you would like to become a member of Letternet!

If you are underage, please ask your parent or guardian for permission before registering. As soon as you have permission, or if you are of legal age, you can register under "Register now".

 

Here's how it works!
  1. Complete the Letternet registration form
  2. You will then receive a confirmation e-mail containing a registration link. Click on this link to activate your e-mail address.
  3. reate your Letternet profile. It's important to have a complete profile as it will enable you to find many pen pals that are a good match for you, and also to be found by future pen pals. Now, you can begin looking for pen pals and adding people to your watchlist.
  4. Once you have completed your profile, we will check that your address is correct. You will receive a personal address code in the post in a few days' time.
  5. Log in to Letternet again and enter your address code in the "My information/Address confirmation" section. Please ensure that you enter the exact code combination!
  6. Once you have entered in the code and confirmed your address, you will become a full member and be able to send or receive contact requests.

How can I find pen pals?

First, log in to your account. Then, select the characteristics in the "search" section that you would like your future pen pal to have: Do you want to write to a male or female? What country would you like live in? What should their interests be? You can also select the language of correspondence.

After doing this, you will see a list of all Letternetties that match your search criteria.

Have you found a suitable pen pal?

If so, ask him/her if he/she would like to be your pen pal. If he/she accepts your request, you will be able to see his/her address!

If you are not quite sure whether he/she is a good match for you, you can add him/her to your watchlist and send them a request at a later date.
